Summary

I have a diverse role which involves student recruitment, teaching and leadership within the Food and Nutrition subject group at Sheffield Business School; and a research role where I am the Co-Lead for the Transforming Places for Health and Wellbeing research theme at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC).

About

I am a dietitian and nutritionist who is passionate about weight management, diabetes and health inequalities research. I am the co-lead of Transforming Places for Health and Wellbeing research theme at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University. Research is focussed primarily on qualitative work including systems evaluation and coproduction methodologies as well as implementation science. My research focusses on the socio-cultural aspects of food and nutrition and whole systems thinking by understanding the lived experience of individuals. I am passionate about ensuring that research is meaningful to the populations involved and that research results in reduction of inequality.

My main teaching roles include lecturing and module leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate level modules and dissertation supervision. I also supervise PhD students.

Lucie is actively involved in research networks such as Yorkshire Obesity Research Alliance (YORA), ShefFood and is the hub lead the Council for Allied Health Professionals Research (CAHPR) Yorkshire & Humber. I am a member of the University's Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (RIKE) Leadership group.
