Summary
Melike is a researcher and teacher educator with a wealth of experience and expertise in language teacher education, teacher research, teacher learning, and the education of multilinguals. Recognized as a Senior Fellow by the Higher Education Academy, Melike is actively engaged in supervising postgraduate research and taking leadership roles in international research projects.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, Melike holds a departmental leadership position focusing on postgraduate employability. She also serves as the leader of the External Interdisciplinary Network on Multilingualism at the Sheffield Institute of Education Research and Knowledge Exchange (SIRKE).
Furthermore, Melike serves as the co-lead coordinator for the ELINET Language Education and Multilingualism strand. She is actively involved in the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) Professional Development Framework (PDF) Committee and holds a membership-at-large position in the Social Justice Special Interest Group within the British Association of Applied Linguistics (BAAL).
