About
With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and more than a decade in higher education, I am passionate about enabling both students and colleagues to become the best versions of themselves. Through authentic leadership, active mentorship, and strategic support, I aim to foster a culture of personal growth, professional development, and lifelong learning.
As a senior lecturer, former course leader, and pracademic, I bring real-world insights into the classroom, ensuring that our teaching remains industry-relevant and purpose-driven. My mission is to enhance graduate outcomes by embedding employability and transferable skills into the curriculum, and by advocating for inclusive and socially mobile pathways into tech careers.
I work actively to forge and maintain strong partnerships with employers, industry leaders, and SMEs across the UK and worldwide. These relationships not only help shape the design and delivery of our courses but also ensure that our graduates leave with the confidence, experience, and capabilities to succeed in a fast-evolving digital economy.
Throughout my 20+ years in IT solutions development and innovation leadership, I’ve championed technology as a driver for change, efficiency, and equity. Today, I continue to bridge the gap between academia and industry, striving to prepare students not just for their first job, but for sustained, meaningful careers in computing and beyond.
