Summary
Patricia is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery. She has worked as a Mental Health Nurse in a range of clinical roles since qualifying in 2000 and has worked in higher education since 2014.
About
Patricia qualified as a MHN in 2000 from University of Sheffield. After working in adult inpatient acute wards she then moved into the community, working predominantly in substance misuse services and for a short time in older adult services. Patricia completed her MSc in Advanced Practice at University of Leeds in 2015 and is currently studying for a Doctorate in Education, exploring quieter learners experiences of nurse education.
Teaching
Patricia teaches on a range of undergraduate and post graduate modules within the School of Health and Social Care.
I deliver teaching on various postgraduate and undergraduate modules within Health and Wellbeing including Non-medical Prescribing, Long-term Conditions and Paramedic Practice.
Research
Patricia is currently studying for her Doctorate in Education exploring how quieter learners experience nurse education.
