Senior Lecturer In Paramedic Practice


Summary

Samantha is one of the senior lecturers for paramedic practice. She has been working for SHU for 3 years. Samantha lectures in Law and Ethical dilemmas for paramedic students as well as management and leadership. She is also the lead for placements in East Midlands and Yorkshire supporting the paramedic students.

About

Samantha has a degree in Health and Social Care and a Masters in clinical Research as well as her professional qualification in paramedicine.

Samantha previous roles include 10 years in the Royal Air Force working in the UK and abroad. In the late nineties she worked in hospitals as a nursing assistant before a change of career brought her to the ambulance service. She started as a ambulance care assistant before progressing to an ambulance technician then paramedic. Whilst still working for the ambulance service she became a qualified tutor and taught on a variety of service courses
