Tilahun's research interests are within the domain of SMEs, Business Management and Entrepreneurship challenges, opportunities and lived experience of ethnic and minority businesses locally, nationally and internationally.
About
Tilahun has over 16 years teaching, research and supervision experience across a range of disciplines and at all levels, (UG, PG, PhD, Foundation Years and Graduate Diploma) including at TARC and Erasmus in Germany where he has developed greater academic knowledge, professional and research skills. Throughout my teaching and supervision experience, he has maintained a strong and proactive engagement with students, staff and partner organisations where he has received consistently very positive and rewarding feedbacks and successive years’ nominations for inspirational teaching awards.
Tilahun has over 28 years combined experience in Academic and Industry where he has acquired extensive international business management academic experience and practitioner insight and developed an excellent academic leadership, research, interpersonal and practical skills which are critical in managing diverse stakeholders.
Tilahun has a very good track record for being reliable, conscientious, and productive whilst undertaking a variety of responsibilities both at private and public sector organisations.
Tilahun has multinational, multicultural, and multilingual experience and background through living, working and studying in the UK/Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Ethiopia where he has acquired greater skills of resilience, adaptability and flexibility.
Tilahun is motivated by new challenges, opportunities and strive in making personal and professional development that he is currently aspiring to take up an Associate Professorship role to further enhance his teaching and research career.
