The Hallam Fund

Thanks to the support of our worldwide alumni community, staff and supporters, the Hallam Fund continues to help disadvantaged students with life-changing financial support.

We’re proud to be among the UK's most inclusive universities, breaking down barriers and empowering students to achieve their boldest ambitions. To date, the Hallam Fund has raised nearly £1 million to pay for scholarships, bursaries, and life-changing initiatives. But we couldn’t do it without you. By donating to the Hallam Fund, you can transform lives and build a brighter future.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that means the University can claim tax relief on donations from UK taxpayers. For every £1 a UK taxpayer donates, 25p in reclaimed tax is added. We encourage all donors to add Gift Aid where possible.

Please note, we need to share necessary data with HM Revenue and Customs to reclaim the Gift Aid on your donation.

Sheffield Hallam’s charitable status

Sheffield Hallam University is an exempt charity for the purpose of charitable legislation. Although it has charitable status, it is exempt from the requirement to register as a charity with the Charity Commission so it does not have a charity reference number.

Our HMRC Exempt Charity Number is XN83410. The Office for Students (OfS) acts as the principal regulator for universities that are exempt charities.
