Sheffield Hallam alumnus Tim Slater will share his views on a variety of topics from the importance of supply chains, globalisation and digital developments to the skills demanded by DHL of its graduates and the importance of leadership in an organisations good to great journey. The session will include a lecture followed by time for questions and debate.
Tim leads DHL Supply Chains’ Global Life Sciences & Health Care business. With revenues in excess of €1.2bn and operations in 43 Countries, DHL provides innovative and quality assured services to major pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesalers, drug store groups, medical device manufacturers, health authorities, hospitals, health centres and other healthcare providers.
In addition, Tim heads up NHS Supply Chain which provides patient-focused healthcare products and supply chain services to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). NHS Supply Chain’s end-to-end supply chain services incorporate procurement, logistics, e-Commerce and customer and supplier support.
Tim’s career in logistics spans more than two decades working in businesses such as Tibbett & Britten Group plc, Exel plc and DHL Supply Chain. Prior to moving to his current role Tim worked in the UK&I business in a variety of Managing Director roles including Transport, Engineering & Manufacturing and Energy & Chemicals.
