The department has a history of working with industry and a reputation for delivering practical degree programmes and innovative and work-ready graduates. We aim to further develop our links with our alumni, and have lots of opportunities for alumni to work with us to ensure the sustainability and growth of our sector. During summer 2012, we hosted two alumni events in London and Manchester. Both events were well attended by our alumni across the discipline in Built Environment industry.

Saturday 26 January in the city suite of Mercure St Paul’s Hotel Sheffield, we met many alumni who had travelled from London, Cornwall, Leeds, Manchester for the first Built Environment Alumni Dinner. We received positive feedback from the alumni and offers for joining our mentoring schemes, guest lectures etc. We will be continuing the effort in developing the links with our alumni and hope to grow the network further.
