Peter's research interests are wide ranging and include consumer decision making and behaviour. This lecture will focus on three of his current research themes within this area, two relating to addictive behaviours: compulsive shopping and disordered gambling, and one relating to voting behaviour in recent UK General Elections. His research on these key issues has increased understanding and improved the diagnosis of compulsive buying behaviour, informed the development of responsible gambling tools, and enhanced the prediction of voting behaviour and party loyalty.
