Email BMRCFolly Pogs FM Research sponsored by FibCon 2015 have provided 8 months funding for the continuation of the study 'Investigating how fibromyalgia impacts everyday life and the effectiveness of treatments'.
This is a collaborative project between Drs Penny Furness and Sophie Taylor in the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Politics and Drs Sarah Haywood-Small and Kim Lawson from the BMRC.
This work is exploring with fibromyalgia sufferers their lived experience of FM symptoms, their perceptions of and experience with treatments and interventions they have tried or been offered. At present, the best treatment for FM is unclear, and there are many different options for clinicians and sufferers to access. This research will offer a new user-led approach to tackling the condition and its symptoms.
