Professor Christine Le Maitre and Research Assistant Joseph Snuggs attended the Society of Back Pain Research Conference in Groningen, Netherlands, on 15-17 November 2018.

Professor Le Maitre delivered the Henry V Crock lecture as a keynote speaker on ‘How can biology help to understand and treat LBP’ and also acted as one of the proposers for the annual debate on 'This house believes that RCTs for back pain are dead: long live research on mechanisms' which won!

Mr Snuggs presented the work from his PhD as a special poster presentation and also presented from his SBPR funded travel fellowship. In addition Prof Le Maitre presented an oral presentation along with two posters from the group.
