We are more interested in YOU than your idea, so don’t worry if what you want to do on placement isn’t fully developed as an idea before applying.
Placements start in September (finishing in June 2025):
Start-Up (create and sell a product or service)
Freelancer (sell your services as a freelancer)
Film Production (work as a freelance videographer, editor etc. Or commercialise your film work in other ways)
Through a dynamic programme of learning, our dedicated Enterprise Coaches help you develop a business idea in one of the areas above, supporting you in your journey to establish your own business.
Each Monday and Wednesday you will join our community of placement students in the Hallam i-Lab (10am to 4pm) to learn from our Coaches and from each other, and participate in a range of engaging and thought-provoking workshops. Depending on your progress, you will also have unique opportunities to pitch for funding.
You are expected to work on developing your business for at least 21 hours per week in total.
If you can work independently, are self-motivated, driven and committed to working at least 21 hours per week on your idea, we want to hear from you.
Please carefully read the information below before applying (application link below).
Have you met our current sandwich year students?
