Evaluation of the Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant

Project Director: Stephen Green
Project Duration: 2023-2025

The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) has commissioned a consortium to carry out an impact, economic and process evaluation of the Rough Sleeping Drug and Alcohol Treatment Grant (RSDATG). The grant aims to increase access to, and engagement with, drug and alcohol treatment services for those experiencing, and at risk of, rough sleeping. Currently in its third year of five, the grant will support projects in 83 local authorities and 5 pan-London projects. The evaluation is led by Ipsos UK and also involves Groundswell. Dr Stephen Green, on behalf of CRESR, acts as academic adviser, drawing on his expertise in rough sleeping and multiple disadvantage and thorough knowledge of the grant programme.
