Project Director: Peter Wells
Project Duration: 2010-2011

The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) is the membership organisation for local support and development organisations. This project developed an outcomes measurement framework for NAVCA.

Measuring outcomes is not easy. It requires resources - both time and expertise - things that many local support and development organisations find limited in the current climate. NAVCA has therefore developed this framework to provide members with guidance about how to start measuring outcomes and value for money in a more effective and consistent way.

The framework provides a range of tools and resources for members to use to demonstrate the outcomes of their work against each of the five NAVCA Performance Standards and what this means in terms of value for money. It also provides additional guidance for members with a Volunteer Centre function.

The project team also included Tracey Chadwick-Coule (Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University).
