This research aims to enhance Welsh Government’s understanding of current methods for calculating social rents, by examining practices used by social landlords as part of the current Rent and Service Charge Standard (2020-2025) ; and reviewing existing literature on approaches to setting social rents that balances the interests of landlords and tenants.
