The Implications for Employment of the Shift to High-Value Manufacturing

Project Director: Tony Gore
Project Duration: 2012

This project consisted of a review of evidence on the long-term social and economic implications for people, places and the macro economy of the anticipated shift towards high-value knowledge-based manufacturing activity in the UK. The resulting paper formed a contribution to the wider Foresight Future of Manufacturing project, which is investigating the long-term future of manufacturing, out to 2050, to ensure policies across government are resilient to future uncertainties.
