£2,000 alumni discount on full-time postgraduate course fees for home and international students starting in 2027/28*
Home or international students who have completed a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree, PGCE, PhD or degree apprenticeship at Sheffield Hallam or earned a Sheffield Hallam accredited degree from one of our UK and overseas partners in the 2026–27 academic year and all years previous will be eligible for a £2,000 discount on fees for full-time or distance-learning postgraduate courses starting in the 2027-28 academic year.

Discounts for part-time postgraduate study
Students starting a part-time postgraduate degree in the 2027-28 academic year will be eligible for a discount of £1,000 per year for the first two years only, with no scholarship from year three onwards.
Part-time students undertaking a one-year course will receive a £1,000 discount.

Terms and Conditions
- To access the discount, you just need to apply as normal, and the discount will be applied automatically. Some courses may have limited places, so we would encourage applications as soon as possible.
- You will also be entitled to the discount if you have already applied for or accepted an offer on an eligible course (and meet the other eligibility criteria).
- If entry is subsequently deferred to the 2028-29 academic year or later, the discount may not be applied.
- You will not be eligible for these scholarships if you have only completed a foundation degree, HND, online only course, exchange or study abroad at Hallam, or non-awarding programmes with us.
- You must be completing the full course - this discount is not applicable to module study or those transferring credits towards their course.
- You must be applying to study an eligible postgraduate taught course at Sheffield Hallam (see excluded courses below).
- Applications to the following courses are not eligible for the discount:
- Online degree courses
- Degree Apprenticeship courses
- PGCE courses
- MPhil courses
- MArch Architecture
- Courses funded in full by the NHS or DfE
- The discount cannot be applied in conjunction with any other discount or bursary.
- The maximum discount available per course is £2,000 - if your chosen degree is completed in stages (such as a PgCert or PgDip course) you will be eligible for £2,000 only.
