Summer / Winter schools
Some of our partner institutions offer exciting opportunities to study with them on a designated short programme known as a Winter or Summer School. Details of forthcoming Winter and Summer Schools being organised by our partner institutions are listed below.
Students participating in a Winter or Summer School may be eligible for funding to support with some of the costs associated. This could be through the Turing Scheme (for programmes of at least 4 weeks in duration). To find out more information on the scholarships and bursaries we offer, please visit the online Hallam funding guide.
FAO All students – Turing Funding: If your programme qualifies for Turing funding you must be a fully enrolled SHU student attending the Summer School before your expected end date.
Please note you will need to ensure you have sufficient funds available to cover all necessary expenses, such as travel, visas, meals, accommodation, social activities, field trips and personal spending.
Some Winter or Summer Schools may have pre-requisites, students should contact their internationalisation lead / country coordinator in the first instance to discuss eligibility. You can find your internationalisation lead / country coordinator on the college contacts website. Students are also advised to consider any health, travel or visa requirements prior to applying, you can contact the International Experience Team on their webpage to discuss this.
If you wish to participate in a Winter or Summer school, you should ensure it takes place outside normal term time.
To apply for one of the short-term opportunities listed below please contact the Erasmus and Exchanges Team at erasmus-exchange@shu.ac.uk. Please do not apply directly as this may mean you miss out on any possible fee waivers or other opportunities we may have agreed with our partner.
