The new Loyalty Awards acknowledge the significant achievement of employees who work for the university for 15, 20 and 25 years as follows:
15 years’ service – 1 extra day’s annual leave
20 years’ service – 3 extra days annual leave
25 years’ service – 5 extra days annual leave; invitation to a lunchtime celebration event with members of the University Leadership Team and the Board of Governor
Inspirational Teaching Awards
Each year staff are recognised for their dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism, and their transformative impact on the student experience through the student-nominated Sheffield Hallam Inspirational Teaching Awards. The awards recognise staff across a number of categories including Inspirational Teaching, Inspirational Research Supervision and Outstanding Student Support. At Sheffield Hallam we know that a little recognition goes a long way at work. That's why in Summer 2020, we launched the 'Hallam Thanks' pilot to enable our people to recognise a colleague and let them know they are doing a great job. Our peer-to-peer recognition scheme helps support our commitment within the Hallam Deal that great performance will be recognised at the right time and can be used to help our staff demonstrate their achievements. We hope to launch the scheme across the University very soon.
