The list celebrates individuals driving innovation, policy, and ethical practice in AI across sectors, highlighting their impact on shaping the future of technology and society.

The AI 100 UK list 2025 identifies leaders whose work demonstrates excellence in advancing responsible AI adoption and governance. It brings together experts from academia, industry, and public policy who are setting standards for transparency, ethics, and practical implementation of AI.

Alison’s inclusion reflects her leadership in digital education and AI policy development. She has played a pivotal role in creating a tool for communicating AI transparency, contributing to national position statements, and embedding ethical AI practices within higher education. Her work ensures that AI is used to enhance learning while safeguarding fairness and accountability.

Alison said: “It’s a real honour to be included in the AI 100 UK List for 2025. For me, it reflects the work I’ve been doing to help shape principle-led and transparent approaches to AI in education, both within Sheffield Hallam University and into the wider sector. It’s also a recognition of how vital it is to centre people in digital change, and how connection and collaboration across the sector can drive real impact.”

The AI 100 UK list acknowledges individuals whose contributions are shaping the UK’s AI landscape, influencing research, regulation, and real-world applications. Alison was invited to join fellow AI 100 members at a special event in the House of Lords in October, celebrating the achievements of those shaping the UK’s AI landscape and fostering collaboration across sectors.
