Cooling off period - You have the right to cancel your Nursery Contract within 14 days of forming the contract with the Nursery (SHUEL). This "cooling off period" will expire after 14 days from the date of conclusion of the contract (i.e. 14 days following the date you return your completed Registration Form).

Late collection – children must be collected by 11:50 for an AM session or 15:20 for a PM session, to allow time to hand over. Persistent lateness when collecting children will result in the withdrawal of the child’s Nursery place.

Snacks – healthy snacks are provided during the day at 10am and 2pm.

Sun cream – from April to September sun cream must be applied by parents/carers before coming into setting, even on cloudy days. Staff will re-apply a generic sensitive skin, high factor sun cream to all children as required in an afternoon. If your child is allergic to sun cream, please contact a deputy manager to discuss.

Illness, holiday, appointments - fees will be charged as normal for any sessions missed due to holiday, illness, or appointments.

Holiday - please notify the nursery of your holiday plans at least 4 weeks in advance.

Attendance – where in receipt of funded early learning, absences of 3 sessions or more may result in the withdrawal of funding by the government. Please inform nursery before the start of any session if your child will not be attending.

Public holidays – the nursery reserves the right to charge fees as normal.

Unforeseen closures - every effort is made to stay open and offer a full service to all our children and parents. However, if the management decide that the nursery must close for reasons beyond our control such as snow, ice, flood, power-cut, industrial action, major health & safety issues, pandemics or similar, fees / charges will be refundable for the period of closure. In such cases, we will make every effort to minimise the closure period and to notify you in advance.

Changes to booked sessions - four weeks’ notice is required for any changes to contracted days, sessions or to cancel your place. If insufficient notice is given, you will be charged for your normal sessions during the notice period.

Charges and Fees - reviewed in January, April, and September each year. In addition, we reserve the right to make two changes per year to charges/fees, or terms and conditions by giving 42 days’ notice.

Communication - invoices and important information will be sent by email and our nursery app. Please ensure that we have up-to-date email address for you and that you notify us of any changes to your address or phone number.

Allergies, medical and other important information – please ensure that we have up-to-date information for yourself and child. Please notify deputy managers in writing and room practitioners on the day, of any changes to allergies, medical information or other important information which affects the care and education of your child.

Sickness – to protect staff, children and families, we follow robust sickness policies to prevent spread of infection to staff, other children and families. Please refer to sickness policy for guidance.
