Autism research

Sheffield Hallam University is a leading centre for autism research and teaching. Our work addresses a range of issues related to the autism spectrum, from best practice for educators and employers to the representation of autism and Asperger syndrome in fiction.

Through applied research and research-informed teaching, we aim to provide practical support for autistic people and their families, and to influence attitudes and decisions at public, practice and policy-making levels.

This page showcases some of Sheffield Hallam’s key autism resources and projects, as well as staff with teaching and research interests in the subject.
