Annie Watson's film Shoes that Walk Alone nominated for Best Experimental Film at London Short Film Festival

Thursday 12 January 2017

Shoes That Walk Alone, a short film by Annie Watson, has been nominated for the Best Experimental Film at the London Short Film Festival.

The film was shown at the London Short Film Festival 2017 at the ICA in London on the 8th January, within the programme Experiments: Leftfield & Luscious.

Shoes That Walk Alone was filmed on a Go Pro in a lake in Freiburg. The unnamed female character in the spoken story provides a macabre connection between the (apparently) lifeless floating body and the sinister implication within the story.

The work was funded by the Art and Design Research Centre, Sheffield Hallam University, as part of the Walking Arts Research Group.

Annie Watson is a Sheffield-based filmmaker. She is Principal Lecturer and Subject Group Leader in Film and Photography at Sheffield Hallam University.
