I am a Senior Lecturer in Databases at the Department of Computing of Sheffield Hallam University. My main research areas are focused on the study of the Hippocampus in combination with Artificial Intelligence, on the study of Dynamic Supply Chains using Sensor Technologies and on the Decision Support in Digital Economies under Crisis.

The applied learning elements of my degree helped me to gain the skills I use today.

Finding new ways to measure the success of government initiatives for disadvantaged communities

I qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and in terms of practice experience I have worked in both private practice and also as an in-house legal adviser in local government. For instance, as part of Manchester City Council's Legal Department I advised the Council on the contracts needed for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
