Polymers and nanocomposites
Our research encompasses petroleum-derived and bio-based polymers, minerals and composites
Materials modelling and complex flows
We have a strong track record and reputation in the field of infrastructure management and development. Our aim is to apply that range of knowledge to deliver client focused and practical everyday solutions
Fractography Corrosion fatigue failure of a stainless steel stud
Research on fractography corrosion fatigue failure of a stainless steel stud
Raman spectroscopy and ESEM images of Class G oilwell cement
Raman microscopy allows us to understand the early stages of oilwell cement hydration, which is crucial to its application
Building insulation testing
At the Centre for Infrastructure Management, we are able to evaluate and test the comparative thermal performance of reflective and multi-foil insulations.
5S
The 5 s'are prerequisites for any improvement program. As waste is potential gain, so eliminating waste is a gain. 5S philosophy focuses on effective workplace organisation, simplifies work environment, and reduces waste while improving quality and safety.
Electronic Materials
Our electronic materials characterisation facilities include electrical characterisation facilities including current-voltage and capacitance-voltage measurements and sheet resistance measurements
