Sharon Frankland is a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery

My teaching covers all aspects of Physical Chemistry. My research group apply state-of-the-art computational simulations to understand reaction mechanisms and design novel catalysts.

I teach on a range of degree programmes in Sport and Exercise Science, teaching on modules in Performance Analysis, Motor Skills and Biomechanics

Having qualified as a Mental Health Nurse I specialised straightaway in the area of CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health), and my clinical career involved working predominantly with 5-12 year olds and their families who had a complex mixture of behavioural, emotional and social needs. Before coming to Sheffield Hallam I was a Clinical Nurse Manager of a regional CAMHS Unit, and I still have strong links to this clinical speciality.

Kerry joined SIRC in April 2013. She has a PhD in Sociology, and an MA in Sociological Research Methods, with substantial experience in a range of both qualitative and quantitative methods of research. She also has an MSc in Sport Management from Sheffield Hallam University. Kerry's particular areas of research interest include understanding participation in sport, including barriers to participation and participation in minority groups, particularly women and girls; the outcomes of sport, including the physical and the social outcomes, such as the development of identity and community through sport; and the health and fitness industry, including new trends in fitness practices.

Claire Wolstenholme joined the Centre for Education and Inclusion Research in May 2006, with a background in psychology. Her interests include social and educational policy, social inclusion and the wider aspects of education, including pupil wellbeing. Claire has a particular interest in PSHE in schools

Ben is a Research Fellow with 10 years of research experience. His research interests are focused around the broader dimensions of education, particularly in relation to children and younger people's health/wellbeing
