This course will give you the skills and knowledge to excel in finance and accounting roles. 

You’ll delve into financial reporting, taxation, auditing and management accounting; learning to analyse and interpret financial data for informed decision making. 

This programme integrates digital skills and on the job training allowing you to apply your theoretical knowledge in professional settings.

This course meets the accounting finance manager (integrated) apprenticeship standard.

Applied learning:

All three years of the course are structured around applied learning. This links your studies to real-world situations.

  • accounting software including SAP lab
  • bloomberg terminals
  • our financial trading sector 
  • guest lectures from industry

You will progress through the course following successful achievement of assessments, which address the learning outcomes for each module and allow you to complete the course.

You will also complete an end-point assessment towards the end of the apprenticeship.

You'll study at our City Campus, with access to cutting edge facilities and world class expertise.

Entry requirements

Throughout the course, apprentices spend at least 20% of their working hours at university. They can be existing employees looking to develop their careers, or new applicants to the business.

Applicants must:

  • be over 18
  • not be in full time education
  • have the right to abode in the UK
  • meet the course entry requirements

GCSE (or equivalent)

Mathematics and English at level 2 or above (grade 4, or previously C).

If you don't have this yet, you'll need to achieve this level before you take your end-point assessment. 

Additional qualifications

One of the following:

  • 112 UCAS points, including at least 64 points from two A levels or equivalent

For post experience applications:

  • One A level and relevant work experience
  • In absence of A levels, suitable work experience may be considered in discussion with the University
