The University English Scheme offers free English language classes to help you enhance and improve your academic English.

Classes focus on the English language needed for academic study including reading, writing, listening and speaking for academic purposes. There are a wide range of English language sessions you can attend.

You can also take the 20-credit English for Academic Purposes module if this fits into your programme of study. If you don't need the credit points, you can participate in our non-credit classes and choose from a range of class types depending on your needs, or you can book individual appointments with our Language Advisory Service. Visit our Academic English page to find out more.
