Managing Clinical Complexities in Primary Care
This module critically examines and evaluates how to navigate complex and difficult consultations within a primary care setting. Topics, such as assessing and managing patients with co-morbid conditions, poly pharmacy and neurodiversity, will be included. This compliments the module, management of acute illness in primary care.
It is expected that students will be working in a patient facing role that requires them to be involved in the assessment and management of patients that present with a variety of conditions within a primary care setting. The student should be working towards an advanced practice qualification. This module is an ideal follow on from the management of acute conditions in primary care module.
This module is delivered online.
Here are the topics covered below. The study days are every Thursday for 6 consecutive weeks and start at the end of September or in the 3rd week of January.
