From first day to dream job, our seven-part promise gives you everything you need to launch your career. It's for all undergraduates starting in or after September 2026.

We promise you hands-on learning, employer connections, lifelong career support and access to industry experience and expertise. And if you’re not in work or further study 12 months after successfully completing your course, you are guaranteed a paid internship*.

Student recruitment agency

We promise to help you find sandwich placements and part-time work while you study.

Our on-site recruitment agency, Hallam Talent, will find roles and support you with job applications and interviews.

They will also support you with finding and securing graduate-level roles once you have completed your course.

Employability guaranteed

You are guaranteed a paid internship* if you aren’t in work or further study 12 months after successfully completing your course - beyond that, you’ll have access to lifelong careers support.

Our employability team offers guidance on applications, interviews and career planning for as long as you need it.

Eligibility criteria

*To be eligible for Sheffield Hallam University's graduate internship scheme you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • be a UK student
  • studied and successfully completed a 3 or 4 year undergraduate degree at Sheffield Hallam University, after September 2026
  • not be in work or further study 12 months after successfully completing your course
  • have engaged with the Sheffield Hallam careers and employability service.
