Update to Student-Led Weekly Tours

In light of the updated advice from the Government about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have suspended all student-led weekly tours throughout March and April 2020. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch using the details below.

When are the tours?

You can attend a tour of our campuses or accommodation every Wednesday. They start at

  • 11am – City Campus and Collegiate Campus
  • 12.30pm – Accommodation
  • 2pm – City Campus and Collegiate Campus

How do I book?

As per the advice above, there will be no tours running throughout March and April 2020. We’ll keep this page updated regularly as new events become available to book.

Which campus should I visit?

Choose the tour for the campus where your course is taught. If you aren't sure which campus you need, check underneath the course title on the relevant page of our online prospectus, or call us on 0114 225 6464.

What will I see on the tour?

You will be met by a student ambassador wearing a blue t-shirt at the meeting points below.

Tour Meeting point
City Campus tour City Campus – reception, main entrance
Accommodation tour City Campus – reception, main entrance
Collegiate Campus tour Collegiate Campus - Heart of the Campus

Please arrive at least five minutes before your tour starts. We aim to start on time and if you're late we may not be able to accommodate you. If this happens, you could be offered an alternative self-guided tour – see details below.

Our student ambassadors really know what they're talking about, because they live and study here – so ask them any questions you have about being a student at Sheffield Hallam.

The campus tour will include all of the main areas of the campus, including the learning centre, gym, students' union, catering outlets, lecture theatres and classrooms.

On the accommodation tour you will be shown an example of one of our wide range of residences. On the way there and back the ambassador will point out the location of other accommodation complexes, but we can't show you around more than one. You can see our full range of residences online.

The tours are not specific to a particular course. If you want to speak to staff and students from the course you're interested in, come to an open day.

Self-guided tours

If you're unable to attend an open day or student-led tour, you can visit our campuses in your own time by downloading and printing our self-guided tour booklets below.
