The board advises our Executive on strategic perspectives to ensure we are relevant to students, external partners and government. It

• helps us analyse and understanding government policies and the education sector's response to them
• provides guidance on our medium and long-term strategic priorities
• supports the identification of new and emerging needs that are aligned with our current and potential offer
• acts as a sounding board for new ideas and developments
• challenges our assumptions and operating routines
• develops our links with the education, academic and policy communities
• helps consolidate and develop our position within specific networks by raising awareness of our offer
• advises on the development of tangible proposals regarding strategy, policy and priorities
• where appropriate, has task and finish sub groups for specific priority issues
