Paul teaches computer networking, network security, network design, network troubleshooting and virtualization at both MSc and BSc levels. He has industry experience within a Managed Service Provider environment and has a strong passion for Software-defined Networking (SDN).

About

Paul has an MSc in Advanced Computer Networks and a BSc in Computing & Systems Development. His experience within the industry involved working within a Managed Service Provider, supporting computing infrastructure for various high-profile clients as a Network & Firewall Engineer. This has provided Paul with extensive experience working within differing networking environments with challenging organisational needs. He brings this experience into his teaching, applying theories and practice into working examples that would be used within industry.

Paul has a strong passion in innovation and new-trends within the networking industry. He has a strong passion in Software-defined Networking, Networking Automation and Orchestration and understands the importance of introducing these concepts into traditional networking. Paul is a Senior Lecturer on the MSc Advanced Computer Networks course and delivers content on various BSc courses. Within these courses, Paul likes to introduce fun and innovative methods of teaching within classes.
