Hallam Fund Telethon 2022

As the UK’s largest provider of access to higher education for students from unrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds, Sheffield Hallam is committed to ensuring opportunity for all of our student community.

To address the challenges and inequalities facing our students right now, this year’s Hallam Fund Telethon Appeal will focus on raising donations for our scholarship programme. We are looking to our generous alumni and supporter community to make a big difference to the most vulnerable yet capable students who face significant challenges over the next academic year.

We are committed to raising funds to provide an additional 50 scholarships to support students who are most in need throughout their studies. A scholarship enables students to focus on life as a student, taking away the additional burden of self-financing and can strengthen confidence and their sense of belonging. Our scholarships benefit students such as those who are estranged from their families, care leavers, mature students, those with caring responsibilities and students from widening participation backgrounds.

As demand for scholarships rise, we will continue our commitment to breaking down barriers, tackling inequalities and providing support.
