Every year hundreds of Sheffield Hallam alumni volunteer to enhance the experience of our students

During your own studies and your life beyond Sheffield Hallam, you've gained skills, experience and knowledge which can now inspire and guide our students today.

You may choose to become a mentor and gain new skills at the same time by taking part in Hallam Career Mentoring. Moving from being a student to starting your career is a big challenge for everyone, our alumni mentors have been there and done it and are now coaching our students to help them succeed.

Others choose to help students connect theory with practice by sharing their industry knowledge and career stories through guest speaking. Guest speakers typically talk to our students about their experiences and achievements as part of a lecture, or at various career events and fairs we hold throughout the year.
