Towards a Thriving Voluntary and Community Sector in South Yorkshire

Project Director: Catherine Harris
Project Duration: 2023

The research aims to provide an up-to-date picture of the voluntary and community sector across the four South Yorkshire districts: Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. The research will seek to address the question of what the voluntary and community sector looks like in 2023: how it is made up; what it does; how healthy it is; and what support it needs.

The research will include analysis of administrative data and a survey of voluntary and community organisations.

The project team also includes Lorna Dowrick (Sheffield Hallam University).
