Nursing and midwifery courses

We offer a variety of degree courses accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, giving you the best start to your career. Choose to specialise in a field of nursing, such as adult, child, mental health and learning disabilities, or advance with postgraduate study.

Our lecturers will support and guide you from theory and simulations in our NHS-standard facilities to hands-on placements.

What can I do with a nursing or midwifery degree?

We prepare you for a career in nursing or midwifery across a range of healthcare settings.

When you graduate, you're not limited to hospitals—you can work in clinics, research, schools, public health, military, or even travel, so gaining broad experience as you train helps you in your next steps.

Our graduates go on to roles such as:

  • registered nurse, including specialisms in adult, child, mental health and learning disability,
  • registered midwife,
  • practice nurse, ward sister or charge nurse,
  • clinical nurse specialist or advanced practitioner,
  • nurse consultant or management,
  • social care, and
  • roles in health centres, hospitals, GP surgeries, local authorities, community, education, prisons and the armed forces.
