Applied learning
Live projects
Live projects form a valuable part of your learning on this course. You will undertake a 20 credit module based on an events management topic, have autonomy to decide on your topic, and will be supported throughout the module with experienced tutors. The course involves planning and delivery of hospitality events from Chinese New Year parties to pop up restaurant concepts.
Field trips
You will have the opportunity to engage with industry through our specialist guest speakers and via tutors with extensive business and hospitality industry experience and through our association with the Institute of Hospitality.

On this course you’ll have access to theatre spaces that are fully equipped with lighting, a hi-fi sound system with a communication system, multiple screens, and spacious seating facilities. Our seminar rooms are also fully equipped with computer systems and communication facilities to promote lively discussion and collaboration with others, allowing you to develop your analytical and cognitive skills.
You’ll work with:

- International Business related databases such as Global Edge
- Microsoft Office
Entry requirements
All students
Normally 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5 (i.e. a total of 240 credits) from any business, international business or other relevant qualifications. Students will have normally studied a qualification with relevant content at Level 4 and Level 5. Students whose first language is not English will need to demonstrate the entry requirements of the course to which they apply as well as meet the English competence requirements of an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four skills); or equivalent.
Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment.

Home students
Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time undergraduate study in 2022/23 is £9,250 per year.
† If you are studying an undergraduate course, postgraduate pre-registration course or postgraduate research course over more than one academic year then your tuition fees may increase in subsequent years in line with Government regulations or UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) published fees.
