On our mathematics course we have an applied approach to maths. You learn to solve real-life problems like modelling a health epidemic, using data in credit scoring, and creating sports fixture lists.
We’re an incredibly supportive department in which to study. Our staff operate an open-door policy, and you share a learning space with your lecturers, so they’re always on hand to help you with your work.
Everything we do is to prepare you for your career. Our maths degree is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and can lead to you becoming a chartered mathematician. You can also pursue a career in areas such as finance, data analysis, computing and teaching.
