Performance Athlete Support Programme

Support package for talented student athletes.

Overview

Our Performance Athlete Support Programme allows talented student athletes to balance university life while achieving their sporting potential.

For this programme, we will consider athletes competing at a high level in their sport. For example, selected to represent their country in senior or junior international level, or playing in a professional academy, or in a recognised international pathway.

What you could receive

Successful applicants will receive support from our multi-disciplinary team of sport practitioners, free Team Hallam Ultimate Membership, and access to our facilities. Some students may also receive a bursary.

Who can apply

You can apply if you:

  • are currently, or will be, studying full-time or part-time at Sheffield Hallam University,
  • are competing in an Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth sport, or competing consistently at an exceptional level in a sport outside of these games which is recognised by British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), and
  • can demonstrate clear evidence of your Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth, National Governing Body (NGB) or professional representation pathway.

How and when to apply

Applications for students starting in the 2024/25 academic year will open in the summer of 2024. Further information will be added to this page soon.

Sport expense claims

Existing PASP students can submit a sport expense claim. You must read the terms and conditions before submitting a claim, these can be found at the start of the form.
