Our Performance Athlete Support Programme allows talented student athletes to balance university life while achieving their sporting potential.
We are excited to announce that a new round of applications to the programme is now open for elite athletes.
For this programme, an elite athlete is considered to be a person competing at a high level in their sport. For example, selected to represent their country in senior or junior international level, or playing in a professional academy, or in a recognised international pathway.
What you could receive
Successful applicants will receive support from our multi-disciplinary team of sport practitioners, free Team Hallam Ultimate Membership, and access to our facilities. This support will run from January 2024 to July 2024.
Who can apply
You can apply if you:
- are currently, or will be, studying full-time or part-time at Sheffield Hallam University,
- are competing in an Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth sport, or competing consistently at an exceptional level in a sport outside of these games which is recognised by British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), and
- can demonstrate clear evidence of your Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth, National Governing Body (NGB) or professional representation pathway.
We particularly welcome applications from students who start their course in January 2024.
You can also apply if you have already started your course and have not already applied for the Performance Athlete Support Programme.
