Location

Getting to work shouldn't be a job in itself, and our location is one of our strengths. Our City Campus is a welcoming modern environment right at the gateway to Sheffield, just minutes from Sheffield's main bus and rail stations and the city's commercial centre.

Just a 20-minute walk away, our Collegiate Campus is set amongst lawns and trees in one of Sheffield’s leafiest and thriving suburbs. The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC), located at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, is accessible by public transport and about 15 minutes away from the city centre.

Sheffield itself is ideally located in the centre of the UK, with excellent transport links. It's just two hours by train from London, 90 minutes from Birmingham, 50 minutes from Manchester and 40 minutes from Leeds. Click here for how to find us.

Facilities

We're constantly updating and adding to the facilities to make Sheffield Hallam a great place to study and work. Our facilities across both campuses include coffee shops, cafes and restaurants; on-site gyms and libraries. To find out more about our facilities and to take a drone tour of the campsite please visit our facilities page

Accessibility

AccessAble is an award-winning disability organisation that produces detailed online access guides to a wide range of venues, and promotes our facilities. You can find out more about the usability of our venues at the AccessAble website.

Campus masterplan

Our campus masterplan places students at the heart of what we do and was developed to enhance and improve the estate infrastructure and provide high-quality, modern spaces built for collaborative and flexible teaching and learning. Visit our Future Spaces website for more information.

Over the next five years we’ll be investing £220m in our campuses. We’ll be developing completely new buildings for Sheffield Business School and the College of Social Sciences and Arts. We’ll also be creating landscaped green spaces and refurbishing many of our existing facilities, including the Students’ Union building. The development will cement Hallam’s position at the heart of Sheffield’s economy and cityscape, and will deliver modern spaces designed for collaborative, flexible teaching, learning and working.
