Hallam Uni app - prize draw terms and conditions

  1. THE COMPETITION
    1.1 The Help shape the future of the Hallam Student App Competition (“the Competition”) is organised and run by Sheffield Hallam University (“the University”) to encourage students at the University to provide feedback on the Hallam Uni student app. The feedback will directly inform future updates to the app. 

  2. PARTICIPITATION
    2.1 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition. 
    2.2 Entry is open to current students at the University aged 16 or over. If the entrant is under the age of 18, it is the responsibility of the entrant to obtain permission from their parent/guardian to enter the competition. 
    2.3 Employees of the University and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. 

  3. HOW TO ENTER
    3.1 To enter the Competition, an entrant must complete the Help shape the future of the Hallam Student App survey: https://forms.office.com/e/wRtk9esT9B
    3.2 Only one entry by an entrant is allowed. Duplicate entries will be removed. 

  4. WINNER SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT 
    4.1 There are three (3) £50 High Street voucher prizes available to win. There will be three (3) winners of the Competition. 
    4.2 The winners of the Competition will be drawn at random by a computer process or under the supervision of an independent individual. The draw will take place in the week following the closing date of the Competition.  
    4.3 Winners will be notified by the email address they provided of their prize within 48 hours of the draw. Each winner must respond to accept the prize as directed in the email notification within 48 hours of receiving the email or an alternative winner will be selected. 
    4.4 Where applicable, a winner must claim their prize within 21 days of being notified. Failure to do so will result in the prize being forfeited.

  5. COMPETITION TIMINGS
    5.1 The duration of the competition is highlighted on the Survey.

  6. PRIZE DETAILS
    6.1 The prize consists of 3 x £50 High Street vouchers. 
    6.2 The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. 
    6.3 The prize is redeemable by a named winner only. 
    6.4 The promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to substitute the prize with a prize of equivalent or higher value in the event of circumstances outside of its control. 

  7. GENERAL
    7.1 Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. 
    7.2 The promoter’s decision about any aspect of the competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
    7.3 The competition will be governed by English law and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts. 

  8. PROMOTER

  9. DATA PROTECTION
    9.1 The promoter shall collect the following types of personal data of entrants: name and email address. 
    9.2 The promoter shall process personal data exclusively and solely for the purposes of: (a) selecting the winner, (b) contacting the winner and awarding them with the prize
    9.3 The personal data of entrants will be retained by the promoter for processing purposes and will then be securely deleted.
