To ensure both are addressed, every research project is required to be undertaken in accordance with commonly agreed standards of good practice as laid down in the Declaration of Helsinki, by the Research Councils and the European Science Foundation amongst others. This page details the mandatory procedures Sheffield Hallam University researchers must follow in order to comply with our research ethics policy and procedures.
Procedures for staff and doctoral research
All staff, doctoral and MbyRes research at Sheffield Hallam must undergo ethical scrutiny. Ethics applications and reviews are managed through the University's Ethics Review System.
