Characterisation of polymers, minerals and organic-inorganic complexes

We have a range of methods that can be used to analyse polymers, minerals and organic-inorganic complexes including

  • infrared spectroscopy
  • infrared imaging (transmission, ATR, reflection, variable temperature)
  • Raman (imaging, point mapping, variable temperature)
  • full thermal analysis suite (DSC, TGA, TG-MS, DMA)
  • X-ray diffraction (powders, films)
  • X-ray fluorescence (borate glasses, solids, powders, liquids)

These methods can be used to identify how a material will perform under different conditions, carry out materials characterisation, understand the elements within a material and analyse a material's mechanical and thermal properties.

This service can be used to

  • inform product development
  • improve product durability
  • gain cost savings
  • solve production issues
  • identify contaminants
