Sheffield Hallam University is offering this challenging and exciting PhD project in radioactive waste immobilisation and monitoring. This project is fully-funded by the UK's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and is supported by the National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). The project is also supported by a consortium of leading UK Universities and nuclear industry partners, through the EPSRC TRANSCEND consortium, and the successful applicant will form part of a strong cohort at Sheffield Hallam University and also as part of TRANSCEND.

Cable Safe approached us via the Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) with a request to determine the stability and strength characteristics of a new outdoor safety system that it was developing for a client, as well as to conduct detailed analysis on an existing system.

Dr. Mukesh Goel has done his M.Eng in Chemical Engineering from NUS Singapore, and PhD from IIT Delhi ( a part of research was conducted in University Lyon1 and INSA Lyon France). Dr. Mukesh Goel joined the Department of Engineering and Mathematics, Sheffield Hallam University, as a Senior lecturer on 24th September 2019. His research areas include treatment of wastewaters and generating bioenergy. He teaches various modules in Chemical Engineering.
