The Materials and Engineering Research Institute's 7th Annual Symposium was held on 16th and 17th May 2017 at Sheffield Hallam University. Students and staff from MERI and the Department of Engineering and Mathematics had the opportunity to get together and discuss current research projects and innovation.

Sally Billau

Sally Billau trained as an Interior Designer at Nottingham Trent University and has proven industry experience through working for a large architectural practice on a wide range of design projects. With an understanding of spatial settings and how an environment can positively impact upon the people that use and move through these spaces, Sally has interests around the personalisation of space. Sally moved into academia in 2009 and has a continuing interest in the pedagogy of design education. She is committed to pedagogic excellence in teaching through the application of innovative learning and teaching theories and methods.
