Making a life-changing difference to our student community
Sam Coulby is one of our generous donors who continuously supports The Hallam Fund through individual fundraising and payroll giving. Thanks to donors like Sam, our scholars can make the most out of their education and overcome any previous barriers.
Life-changing scholarships shape the next generation’s future
A scholarship can change the course of a student's life forever. Donations to the Hallam Fund are supporting students who have overcome significant hurdles just to get to university.
Donations enrich university experience for students
The Sir Michael and Lady Morven Heller Bursary financially support students to pursue an interest or a hobby that is completely outside of their area of academic study that they are passionate about. Since last year, the Hallam Fund has matched Heller donations to double the number of students that can be supported.
Helping ambitious students pursue their passion
Starting university is rarely easy for students. Leaving home for the first time, meeting new friends and tackling new course content while trying to remain safe from the coronavirus can be challenging.
Why I decided to give – How donors are creating a better future
We are truly thankful to our compassionate donor community who reflect our values and passion for transforming lives. Carole Stevenson is one of our generous donors that are helping us make a significant impact on the lives of our students.
Staff conquer half marathon for Hallam Fund
Back in April this year, 35 Sheffield Hallam University staff laced up their running shoes to tackle the gruelling Sheffield Half Marathon to raise money for the Hallam Fund.
Building a supportive student community
The Residential Mentoring Programme is a peer-led support service for students staying in halls of residence and creates a supportive community for new students to the University.
Mentoring Success
Students at Hallam will be able to develop their critical thinking skills and broaden their professional networks through The Hallam Fund Career Mentoring Bursary.
Sanctuary Scholarships create a better tomorrow
Like many young people in the UK, young asylum seekers also hope to go to university to pursue a brighter future.
Running in support of students seeking asylum
Asylum seekers face many hurdles to find sanctuary in the UK and are faced with numerous challenges. Alumni, students and staff ran the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 25th September in support of these students.
