He has undertaken numerous economic and social impact assessments of major sporting and cultural events and has experience of using SROI in sport and education contexts. He also has a keen interest in examining elite sport performance.

Robin Smith joined Sheffield Hallam as a physics lecturer in August 2017 after completing his PhD in nuclear physics at the University of Birmingham.
