Our ground-breaking 'Around the Toilet' research has explored what makes a safe and accessible toilet space. Nobody thinks about toilets when they think about utopias. Yet, the notion of ‘place’ emerged continually throughout the project.

Her research uses a range of qualitative approaches and encompasses a wide variety of topics, but her main research interests include the relationship between food and identity, regulation of the body, the discursive construction of social issues, and identity in interaction.
